Alexander Mattison fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Alexander Mattison in your fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in Deep PPR Leagues (14+ Team)
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3/RB4
ANALYSIS: Raiders running back Alexander Mattison had a nice debut for his new team, scoring 16.2 PPR fantasy points. However, most of this production was on a long touchdown catch after some missed tackles by the opposing Chargers defense.

As it stands, though, the Raiders offense doesn't have much value outside of WR Davante Adams and TE Brock Bowers. Mattison did out-snap Zamir White, but it's possible this could've been a game script thing. Mattison will likely play more in losing games since he has more value as a pass-catcher.
That being said, the Raiders aren't highly favored to win any games this year, other than the Panthers game in Week 3. It's possible Mattison could see much more playing time than White, and he has added value in PPR. He finished Week 1 with four receptions on six targets.
For now, Mattison isn't the best start outside of deeper leagues. Leave him on your bench if there are 12 or fewer teams in your league.
