ANALYSIS: Adam Conley won the final spot in the Marlins rotation with a strong spring. He looks to carry that momentum forward to the regular season, after a solid 2015 season with a 3.76 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. His stats so far this year can be misleading; he has given up all his runs in two innings while pitching 12 scoreless against the Mets and Nationals. All the damage against him came in his first inning of the season in a rain-shortened game where he didn't get to return, and his final 2/3 against Washington on Tuesday when he suddenly fell apart. Other than that he has been exceptionally sharp, striking out 19 in 13.2 innings. It remains to be seen how many leads the Marlins bullpen can hold onto, but for his part, Conley's star appears to be on the rise.
