Laviska Shenault Jr. Excels In Week 4 Loss

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. caught six passes for 99 yards and no touchdowns in the team's 24-21 loss to the Bengals on Thursday night. Shenault was impressive in this one, notably catching an improvised 52-yard bomb and missing a touchdown by a matter of inches. While it's tempting to say that D.J. Chark Jr.'s (ankle) absence played a part, Shenault's role remained the same after Chark left the game while Tavon Austin played in his place on the outside. This was a positive outing, but Shenault will likely continue to get most of his playing time in three wideout sets going forward, and he still ran low aDOT routes for most of the game. Overall, Shenault should be viewed as positively trending WR4 with increased target equity going forward.
