DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/13/21): NBA DFS Lineups

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! The NBA is treating us to six games tonight, and some of the best squads in the league will be in action. Utah, Phoenix, and both Los Angeles teams take the court, but the best game to watch could be the Boston-Portland contest. The Jazz, Suns, and Lakers are playing the second half of a back-to-back set. Therefore, we will have to keep an eye on the injury reports if any DFS stars find themselves on the bench in "need" of a rest.

The Miami-Phoenix game will be a fun game to watch, but only from a basketball perspective. These teams met a few weeks ago and combined for 210 points. Both squads sit way down in the pace rankings, with Miami specifically playing a tortoise-like 95.25 possessions per game over their last 10 contests. There are some big names in this matchup (Jimmy Butler, Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton), but I'll only be watching as a pure basketball fan tonight. You won't catch me with a piece of this game in anything except a contrarian tournament lineup.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/13/21. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. With COVID-19 a significant factor, remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Bogdan Bogdanovic - SG/SF, ATL at TOR ($6,800)

We are going to kick off tonight's slate by riding the hot-shooting hand of Bogdan Bogdanovic. The shooter so nice they named him twice. The offseason acquisition is putting on some great performances as we enter the final 20 games of the regular season and has turned his early-season woes around. He's scored at least 40 DraftKings fantasy points in five of his last eight contests and is a big reason that Atlanta carries the fourth-best offensive rating in the league in the previous 10 games.

Trae Young (calf) is questionable for tonight's contest, while Danillo Gallinari (foot) is doubtful. Both players missed the Hawk's last game, and if they miss tonight's game, it will only raise Bogdanovich's floor. Luckily, the 28-year's old floor is already relatively high because of his matchup. Toronto enters Tuesday's game with the worst defense in the league versus shooting guards over the last 15 games.

Joe Ingles - SG/SF, UTA vs. OKC ($5,900)

Utah needs a secondary scorer while Jordan Clarkson (ankle) watches his team's games from the trainer's table. Joe Ingles is the man stepping up and providing excellent results for the Jazz and DFS managers alike. Ingles is averaging 17 points over his last three games while adding six assists, four rebounds, and 3.3 three-pointers per contest. The Australian is scoring 34.2 DraftKings fantasy points per game and should be in line to return another night of value even if Mike Conley (hamstring) returns to the lineup. The Thunder are the second-worst defense versus guards over the last 15 games, and Ingles should have the green light to shoot from behind the arc. The 33-year old wing is making 48.8 percent of his three-point attempts over his seven outings.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Jaylen Brown - SG/SF, BOS at POR ($7,800)

The Celtics are finally turning their season around, and it's coinciding with an uptick in performance from their two young stars. While Jayson Tatum gets most of the love (and the hate) in Massachusetts, Brown has turned into a great 1B option for the team in green throughout this campaign. The 24-year old is averaging career-highs across the board and has been a fantastic DFS play over his last three games. In those recent matchups, the 2021 All-Star is averaging 26 points on 51.8 percent shooting, 7.7 rebounds, three assists, 1.7 blocks, 1.3 steals, and 3.7 triples. The Trail Blazers are the eighth-worst defense versus small forwards over their last 15 games, and it will open the door for Brown to surpass his season average of 40.5 fantasy points per game.

Jalen McDaniels - PF, CHA vs. LAL ($4,300)

With Gordon Hayward (foot) and LaMelo Ball (wrist) on the Hornet's injury shelf, they've been looking for contributions wherever they can find them on the roster. McDaniels has stepped up in the last trio of games and is a discount DFS option against the Lakers. The sophomore forward has played at least 30 minutes in two of his previous three games, and the results in those contests are impressive. Last week, against the Thunder and Bucks, McDaniels averaged 20 points, six rebounds, four assists, 1.5 steals, a block, and 2.5 three-pointers. The 23-year old returned 11-times his salary in each matchup when he was in the low $3,000 price range, and we can shoot for eight or nine times his value against the Lakers.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Rudy Gobert - UTA vs. OKC ($8,000)

I don't usually mention the Vegas spread in this article, but Utah is favored by 17.5 points over the Thunder tonight, and they may have the option to rest their stars. As a result, keep an eye on those pregame quotes to see if Head Coach Quin Snyder drops any hints about his team tonight.

If all goes according to plan, Gobert should be in for a massive evening. He's coming off back-to-back stinkers but was an excellent source of DFS value in the eight games beforehand. The Frenchman will go against one of the weakest frontcourt defenses in the NBA with the Thunder, and he should cruise to a double-double. In the three games before his couple of bad games, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year averaged 16 points, 17.6 rebounds, a block, and a steal. If we get that kind of Gobert performance tonight, he will hit the five-times value we want to see from our DFS lineups.

Ivica Zubac - C, LAC at IND ($5,200)

The Clippers begin a back-to-back on Tuesday, and you could see one of Paul George or Kawhi Leonard sit. Couple that with Serge Ibaka's back injury, and it's easy to see why Zubac is an attractive option on this six-game slate. He's scored at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last 10 games. The common thread between all those games is the 24-year old playing at least 29 minutes and attempting six shots. Last time out, the man from Bosnia and Herzegovina played 35 minutes against the Pistons and recorded 13 points on 5-for-6 shooting, with 10 rebounds, seven assists, and one block. Tonight, Zubac will go against a Pacers defense entering the game as the worst defense versus centers over their last 15 games. Fire up Zubac if you need a discounted center and reap the benefits of a (potentially) depleted Clippers lineup.
