Anaheim Ducks goaltender Ryan Miller had a 43-save performance on Monday but still ended up taking a 5-2 loss against Colorado. Danton Heinen and Troy Terry produced the goals. Miller made his 12th start of the season with John Gibson (upper body) currently out and considered day-to-day. His record dropped to 3-8-1. The Avalanche have now produced six games with 41-plus shots in their past 11 games, so this was always going to be a long night for Miller, who has recorded a 3.60 goals-against average and a .882 save percentage in 2020-21. He'll have a much easier time in the next matchup against Arizona if Gibson isn't ready to return. The Ducks are off until Friday, so Gibson has some nice recovery time.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
