Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard will test the free-agent market and is expected to move on from the Red Wings after spending his entire career with the franchise since being selected by the organization in the 2003 NHL entry draft. Howard posted a career-worst 4.20 goals against average and .882 save percentage through 27 starts during the regular season, along with a record of 2-23-2 for the rebuilding Red Wings team. The 36-year-old will likely settle for a backup role on a team looking for help in the crease when free agency begins on Oct. 9, but the unrestricted free-agent market is filled with quality options with the likes of Braden Holtby, Jacob Markstrom and Robin Lehner headlining the group. Howard will not carry significant fantasy value across standard fantasy formats heading into the 2020-21 season and can be avoided in dynasty leagues.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
