Reese McGuire Cracks First Homer Of The Season
Toronto Blue Jays catcher Reese McGuire took Pete Fairbanks deep in the seventh inning for his first home run of the season in the team's 4-1 loss to the Rays on Saturday. He finished the afternoon going 1-for-4 on a day where the Jays failed to generate much offense. McGuire is on the wrong side of a 60/40 platoon with Danny Jansen, and likely won't usurp his teammate even if he continues to swing a hot bat. As long as Jansen stays healthy, McGuire is only worth rostering in deep two-catcher formats.
