The 25-year-old's two-game ban dates back to a dirty hit performed on Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson on Saturday, a collision that forced the blueliner to depart the contest. The news comes as a tough blow for the skilled forward as he's really struggled to produce in his first 22 games in a Maple Leaf sweater. Following a 42-point (15 goals, 27 assists) season in Colorado in 2018-2019, Kerfoot has registered just eight points (five goals, three assists) on the campaign.
