The San Francisco Giants are leaning toward keeping starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner and closer Will Smith with just hours to go before the trade deadline on Wednesday. San Fran has gone 20-7 in the last 27 games and are just 2 1/2 games back of the second wild-card spot in the National League, so they are now leaning toward keeping their two left-handed pitchers. The Yankees and Astros have been in on Bumgarner, who is an impending free agent, according to MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal. MadBum has a nice 2.70 ERA with 27 K's and five walks in the month of July during the Gigantes' hot streak. He has a 3.74 ERA on the year and tidy 1.15 WHIP along with 140 strikeouts in 23 starts. Smith has also been one of the best fantasy closers in baseball this year.
