Chicago Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane scored his 42nd goal of the season and he added an assist with six shots on goal in 23:31 of ice time across 26 shifts in Wednesday's 4-3 victory in a shootout over the St. Louis Blues. Kane misfired on his attempt in the shootout against Blues netminder Jake Allen, but Kane's partner in crime Jonathan Toews netted the winner in the extra session to go along with his goal in regulation. The goal by Toews was his 35th, which is a new career best. The Blackhawks, who are eliminated from the playoff race, face Dallas on Friday before traveling to Nashville on Saturday to wrap up the regular season.--Daniel Dobish
