Stewart-Haas Racing driver Aric Almirola posted a 97.643 mph best speed in qualifying on Saturday, and he'll go off from the second position for Sunday's STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway. Almirola hasn't had a lot of success in the past at Martinsville, but he has benefited from SHR's short-track package. Despite the fact he has 20 career starts and only one Top 5 and three Top 10s with a 21.5 Average-Finish Position, he is an attractive play since he and his teammates really practiced and qualified well this weekend.--Daniel Dobish
