New Jersey Devils goaltender Keith Kinkaid is confirmed to start Sunday's afternoon battle against the visiting Carolina Hurricanes. He carries a 14-16-6 record with a 3.18 goals-against average and .896 save percentage into the battle. Kinkaid was roughed up by the Los Angeles Kings in Tuesday's game, allowing five goals on 25 shots, and he has lost six of his past seven starts overall. His grip on the No. 1 job has loosened significantly, although Cory Schneider is doing nothing to force his way into the game and the organization is keeping Mackenzie Blackwood at the AHL level for financial reasons.--Daniel Dobish
