Tampa Bay Rays first baseman C.J. Cron went deep for a home run Tuesday versus the Royals. Cron would get the Rays off to a fast start by hitting a two-run HR in the first inning to give them an early lead. The HR would be his ninth of the season. He has a career high of 16 HRs but is currently on pace to hit in the mid-30s. He is currently batting .284, which is much better than many late-round power options. Also worth noting is that he accumulated most of his 2017 stats and fantasy value in the second half of last season. He is not a shallow league standout but he definitely has value in deeper leagues.--Jamie Mellor
