Tampa Bay Rays closer Alex Colome saved his fifth game of the season Friday versus Boston. He threw a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a one-run lead while striking out two. Colome recorded an MLB-leading 47 saves in 2017, but his overall numbers elsewhere weren't as impressive as his 2016 campaign. His strikeout and walk rates both went in the wrong direction, and his ERA jumped up more than a full run to 3.24 from 1.90 in 2016. He still should be owned in all leagues where saves are a category. He saved 84 games between 2016-17 while only blowing nine chances.--Jamie Mellor
