Tampa Bay Rays first baseman C.J. Cron scored the only run for Tampa Bay Friday versus Philadelphia. He would 2-for-4 which raised his batting average to .205. Cron offers tempting power and many got excited when manager Kevin Cash said Cron would play "a lot." It is too soon to give up on Cron, but currently, we are seeing far more free-swinging flaws than we are his power upside. It is worth noting that the vast majority of his production in 2017 came in the second half of the season.The next handful of games offer beatable pitching matchups more often than not.--Jamie Mellor
