Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson returned to action on Saturday night, collecting one assist and three shots on net in 24:45 of ice time. It was Karlsson's first game since he and his wife lost their unborn son earlier in the week, resulting in him sitting out two games. His return so soon after the tragic loss was somewhat surprising, but his availability for the remainder of the season is still in question. Coach Guy Boucher confirmed that Karlsson will not make the trip with the team to Carolina for Ottawa's next game. He is only one assist away from logging 50 assists or more for the third straight season. Despite Ottawa's poor record, Karlsson remains an elite fantasy option.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
