Rafael Devers Gets MVP Instruction
Rafael Devers has been getting expert instruction from Mike Lowell, a former World Series MVP, according to Jen McCaffrey of masslive.com. There is no question about Devers' bat. In 222 at-bats, Devers hit 20 home runs and had a slash line of .283/.338/.482. The point of this expert assistance was to help Devers' defense at third base. Of Devers, manager Alex Cora stated, "Good footwork and a few adjustments that's part of being young." If an MVP can solidify any small issues Devers has at the hot corner, then he can focus even more on his offense, which will make him even more dangerous.
