Week 18 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Outlooks

Wan'Dale Robinson, New York Giants

New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (ribs) was not present at Wednesday's practice after sustaining a rib injury in a Week 17 win over the Raiders in which he caught a season-high 11 passes for 113 yards. In Sunday's week-winning effort, Robinson also eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career, and he now sits only eight receptions shy of 100.

If he can clear the injury report to suit up against the Cowboys' worst pass defense in the league in Week 18, it seems likely the team will make every effort to get him to that milestone. Fantasy managers still playing for a Week 18 title will need to monitor the Giants' practice reports this week, but if Robinson plays on Sunday, he is a must-start.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee) did not take part in the team's practice on Wednesday, according to Eric Woodyard of ESPN. St. Brown played through knee irritation in the Christmas Day loss to the Minnesota Vikings, playing 83% of the snaps while catching eight of his 13 targets for 68 yards. The 26-year-old is as tough as they come, but with Detroit having nothing to play for in the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Chicago Bears, St. Brown may be held out this weekend.

If St. Brown has played his last game in 2025, he'll finish with a strong 106 catches, 1,262 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns in 16 games for his fantasy managers. If he doesn't play against Chicago, rookie Isaac TeSlaa and Kalif Raymond would see more targets alongside Jameson Williams.

Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is expected to play in a Week 18 game against the Dolphins, days after being charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery. The Patriots released a statement on Tuesday, showing support for their 32-year-old receiver, and with Diggs' arraignment not scheduled until January 23rd, it does not appear that any punishment or suspension is imminent.

Diggs enters the week with 82 receptions and 970 yards, and with contract incentives for both 90 receptions and 1,000 yards, it would come as no surprise if he is heavily involved on Sunday. The number one seed in the AFC is still in play for the Patriots, and they are expected to play their starters, so their final game against Miami is one to be looked at by any fantasy managers still playing for a Week 18 championship.

Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson said the team is "hopeful" that wide receiver Luther Burden III (quad) will be able to play in Week 18 against the Detroit Lions, per Harrison Graham of Chat Sports. Burden III suffered a quad injury on the final play of Chicago's Week 17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but it appears he has avoided a long-term absence. Chicago has already locked up the NFC North crown, but it can assure itself of the number two seed in the NFC playoffs with a win over Detroit.

Burden III has emerged as a late-season breakout player, recording 18 catches for 289 yards and a touchdown on 22 targets over his last three games played. Chicago may remain without wideout Rome Odunze (foot) in Week 18, which would keep Burden III in the team's WR2 role alongside veteran wide receiver DJ Moore. If active, Burden III profiles as a borderline fantasy WR1 against Detroit in Week 18.

Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (foot) has been ruled out for the Week 18 regular-season finale this Sunday against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon. Harrison suffered a new foot injury in the Week 17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and failed to catch his only target before leaving. It's a fitting way for the 23-year-old's disappointing second season in the NFL to end in 2025. Through his first two seasons in the league, Harrison has not lived up to his lofty billing as the fourth overall pick out of Ohio State.

In 12 games this season, he caught 41 of his 73 targets for 608 yards and four touchdowns after posting a 62-885-8 line in 17 games in his rookie campaign. Harrison's long-term outlook is cloudy, too, with the Cardinals potentially moving on from quarterback Kyler Murray this offseason. With Harrison missing another game this weekend, Michael Wilson and tight end Trey McBride should continue to be target hogs in Arizona's offense.

Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington posted another fantastic performance in Week 17, notching his second straight 10-target, 100-plus-yard game as the Jaguars defeated the Indianapolis Colts 23-17. Over the past two games, Washington has hauled in 14 of his 20 targets for 260 yards and a touchdown, and over this span, he has emerged as the go-to target for quarterback Trevor Lawrence and is a must-add for fantasy managers still competing in Week 18.

Washington has proved throughout the season that he can provide fantasy value with other receivers injured or not playing. Still, even with everyone healthy and a lot of mouths to feed, such as Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers, Brenton Strange, and Washington, it appears Washington has moved ahead in the pecking order of late. The biggest beneficiary of all these weapons is Lawrence, who has been playing the best football of his career of late. Week 18 should also present a good matchup against the struggling Tennessee Titans.
