Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 17:
Bijan Robinson, RB, Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson dominated the Arizona Cardinals in his team's 26-19 Week 16 win. The 23-year-old recorded 16 carries for 76 yards and hauled in seven receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets. Across 15 games this season, Robinson has now recorded 2,026 yards from scrimmage and nine touchdowns on 321 touches.
Robinson has racked up at least 107 scrimmage yards in five out of his last six games and has logged at least 88 scrimmage yards in every game but one in 2025. He may be the NFL's premier all-around back and is currently on pace to finish the season with just a shade under 2,300 yards from scrimmage. Robinson profiles as a must-start fantasy back heading into the team's Week 17 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Luther Burden III, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III (ankle) was not spotted at practice on Tuesday, per Michal Dwojak of Bears Insider. Burden III was inactive for Chicago's Week 16 win over the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury, and may be in danger of missing his team's Week 17 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers as well. Across 13 games this season, Burden III has hauled in 36 catches for 479 yards and a touchdown on 47 targets.
He appeared to be emerging before getting hurt, as he had earned 19 targets across a three-game stretch from Week 13 through Week 15. If Burden III remains sidelined against San Francisco, wideouts Olamide Zaccheaus and Jahdae Walker will likely soak up additional playing time alongside veteran wide receiver D.J. Moore. Chicago is also dealing with an injury to wideout Rome Odunze (foot), so the team's depth at the position is being tested.
Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams
The NFL has fined Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua $25,000 for his comments about officiating, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Nacua compared NFL officials to lawyers and said they make calls to be on TV during a recent social media livestream. The star wide receiver also tweeted about the officials directly after the Rams' loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night.
Nacua's off-field antics have somewhat overshadowed how dominant he's been on the field lately, posting a career day with 12 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns on 16 targets against Seattle. The 24-year-old wideout is in the midst of a ridiculous three-game span, recording 28 catches (38 targets) for 573 yards and four touchdowns.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions
Ian Rapoport spoke on Good Morning Football on Wednesday and said Detroit Lions star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee) should play on Thursday against the Minnesota Vikings. St. Brown has dealt with a few injuries over the past few weeks, including knee and ankle injuries, but still has played through them, even if he has not been at 100%. Still, given his progression throughout the short week, it's great news that he is expected to play, and fantasy managers should confidently fire him up in their lineups this week, regardless of the situation or matchup.
The Vikings' defense has been stellar of late and tough against opposing wide receivers and quarterbacks. Still, the Lions are in a must-win situation to keep their playoff hopes alive, and shouldn't hold anything back against the Max Brosmer-led Vikings on Thursday.
