Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 14:
Colston Loveland, TE, Chicago Bears
Last week, Loveland saw six targets, which was the second-highest total of the year during the win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The 21-year-old figures to remain a consistent part of the passing game ahead of the Week 14 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
Loveland is on the TE1/2 borderline in fantasy football as he sees more involvement in Chicago's passing game, but he faces a difficult matchup this weekend. Green Bay has allowed the fewest half-PPR points to TEs in the last three games.
Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Cleveland Browns
The rookie was able to find the endzone in Week 13, totaling 43 yards on four receptions against the San Francisco 49ers. As rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders enters the fold, Fannin has taken charge as the leading receiving option in the offense, leading the team in receptions and targets in back-to-back weeks.
The Browns face the Tennessee Titans in Week 14, who have allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season. However, with a nice target share and connection with Sanders, Fannin is a TE1 in Week 14.
Devin Neal, RB, New Orleans Saints
The 22-year-old got the opportunity after veteran Alvin Kamara (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Neal played a season-high 82% of the offensive snaps, with Evan Hull seeing five rushing attempts as his backup.
Although his production wasn't exactly head-turning on Sunday, Neal deserves more attention on the waiver wire this week (he's rostered in 57% of Yahoo leagues) since there's a good chance Kamara will miss more time. Neal will be at least an RB3/flex in fantasy in Week 14 against the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers if Kamara is out again.
Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans
With veteran Nick Chubb lacking explosiveness, Marks has been the better upside play in fantasy football in Houston's backfield this year. The fourth-rounder out of USC has had double-digit carries in each of the last seven games, including at least 16 rushing attempts the last three weeks. Marks had a season-high 19 carries in last week's win over the Colts, producing 64 yards while also catching one pass for three yards.
The Chiefs aren't an ideal matchup for Marks -- they've allowed only eight TDs to the position all year -- but for the volume alone, Marks is at least a low-end RB2 for fantasy. UPDATE: Marks was officially limited in his return to practice on Thursday.
Oronde Gadsden III, TE, Los Angeles Chargers
Gadsden has now gone two straight weeks without a red-zone target as his early-season surge cools off. Week 14 features a tough matchup against a Philadelphia Eagles' defense that ranks top-three against tight ends, allowing only three touchdowns all season and just nine PPR points per game to the position.
If Herbert is ruled out, Gadsden's outlook drops even further. He remains a talented rookie with long-term appeal, but Week 14 looks likely to be another quiet game.
