Saints Not Considering Moving on From GM Mickey Loomis
New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson recently defended long-time general manager Mickey Loomis, per NOLA.com's Jeff Duncan. Benson characterized calls from the fans to fire Loomis as "ridiculous" and said he is doing a "great job." Loomis has held the role of general manager in New Orleans since 2002. The Saints have certainly had success during his tenure, including winning Super Bowl XLIV to cap off the 2009 season. However, New Orleans has not reached double-digit wins since 2020, and the Saints currently hold a 7-20 record over the past two seasons. Still, it appears that Loomis maintains the full support of his organization's ownership, even if the fanbase is losing patience.
