Parker Washington a Must-Add Off the Waiver Wire
Jacksonville Jaguars second-year wide receiver Parker Washington scored two touchdowns on Sunday in the Jaguars' 36-29 loss to the Houston Texans. One of them came early in the first quarter, a seven-yard strike from quarterback Trevor Lawrence, which put the Jaguars up 10-0. The second came in the second quarter, a 73-yard punt return that put the Jaguars up 17-0. Additionally, Washington led the Jaguars in targets with seven; the next closest was running back Travis Etienne Jr. with three. Although Washington led the team in targets, he was only able to haul in three of them for 33 yards to go with his two touchdowns. For most of the afternoon, he was shadowed by Derek Stingley Jr., who is considered to be one of the best cornerbacks in the game. As long as Travis Hunter (knee) and Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) continue to miss time, Washington will remain in the low-end WR2 conversation heading into Week 11, when the Jaguars take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
