Fantasy Football Trade Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider trading for or trading away heading into Week 10:

Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles
Trade Value: 83.1
ROS Rank: 11

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (groin) "seems confident" that he'll be able to play in the team's next game during Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com.

Barkley injured his groin on the final play of the third quarter during Sunday's Week 8 win over the New York Giants. He didn't return to the game, but the decision to hold him out may have been precautionary since Philadelphia led by three scores at the time.

The Eagles have a Week 9 bye, so Barkley will get 15 days to rest and recover before facing the Packers. His 174 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns on Sunday will vault him back into RB1 territory going forward.

Verdict: Remains a viable buy-low RB1 candidate as he should continue to see ample scoring opportunities playing a potent offense

Bijan Robinson, RB, Falcons
Trade Value: 90.8
ROS Rank: 5

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson logged just 12 carries for 46 yards in Sunday's 24-23 loss to the Patriots as the team got behind early and all but abandoned the run. However, as has been the case all season, Robinson continued to be heavily involved in the passing attack, drawing 10 targets from quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and turning them into eight catches for 50 yards.

Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Drake London recorded all three of the team's touchdowns, but Robinson still managed a top 12 finish at running back despite not finding paydirt. Week 8 aside, when London was absent, the 23-year-old is second on the team with 21.1 percent target share, which provides a solid weekly floor.

Week 10 brings a matchup with Indianapolis on a neutral field in Germany, a defense that has been tough against the run (although it allowed two rushing TDs this past week), but that has been soft against the pass and is allowing 24.5 points per game on the road (16.6 PPG at home). The former first-round draft pick figures to be involved regardless of game script, so he'll surely be a top option at running back again on Sunday.

Verdict: You'll have to pay up huge for a highly consistent RB1

Jahmyr Gibbs, WR, Lions
Trade Value: 85.8
ROS Rank: 8

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs had one of his worst games as a pro in his team's 27-24 Week 9 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Gibbs was held to 28 scrimmage yards on 12 touches and did not score a touchdown.

The 23-year-old has mostly been a fantasy weapon so far this season, recording 748 yards from scrimmage and seven touchdowns on 142 touches across eight games played. However, there are a couple of worrying signs for Gibbs. He's currently averaging 4.9 yards per carry and 5.3 yards per touch, both of which would be career lows if they were to sustain for the remainder of the season.

Additionally, the Lions lost starting left guard Christian Mahogany (knee) to a significant knee injury in Week 9, which could be a major issue for the team's run blocking. Still, Gibbs remains a must-start fantasy running back heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Washington Commanders.

Verdict: Try to buy for a fair value; he tends to trend up in scoring and opportunity share in the second half

Brock Bowers, TE, Raiders
Trade Value: 77.6
ROS Rank: 15

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers caught 12 of his 13 targets for 127 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's Week 9 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Bowers returned from a three-game absence and delivered his best game since being drafted, setting a new career-high in fantasy points (PPR) and touchdowns. Even as the Raiders' offense struggles against softer defenses, Bowers is proving why he was worthy of being a second-round pick in many redraft leagues this year.

Managers should continue to deploy him as a high-end TE1 heading into a matchup against the Denver Broncos, who just surrendered six catches and 77 yards to Dalton Schultz.

Verdict: Buy-high candidate. Brock Bowers will continue to carry elite TE1 upside that is worth paying for

Who Should I Trade For?

Week 10 Trade Decisions. Today's focus is on specific players - Saquon Barkley, Justin Jefferson, Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Brock Bowers, Jalen Hurts, Amon-Ra St. Brown. These are some key fantasy football names heading into this week's matchups.

Using The Trade Values. This is a simple trade value tool, but very powerful. In our fantasy football trade value rankings above, you will see the Trade Value for each player. The higher the number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Players with a high trade value number are players that you should be targeting more in trades.

How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings, projections, and trade values based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this trade value rankings.

How To Calculate Trades. Fantasy football managers will make 1-for-1 trades, or 2-for-3 trades, or 3-for-2 trades, or many other combinations. For each side of the deal, add the trade values together. Whichever side has a higher total number wins the trade. For example, if someone is offering you three players, add the trade values of those three players together. Does the value of those three players exceed the values of the player(s) you are trading away? If so then it's a good deal for you.
