Chris Tanev Could Miss Time With Upper-Body Injury
Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev (upper body) may have to spend some time on the sidelines. After Tanev sustained an upper-body injury during Tuesday's matchup against the New Jersey Devils, Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube told reporters that Tanev will "possibly" miss time. In seven games this season, Tanev has registered one assist and eight blocks with a plus-three rating. Toronto won't return to action until Friday, giving Tanev a few days to recover. Philippe Myers has been the team's extra defenseman early in the season and could replace Tanev if needed.
