Shayne Gostisbehere Exits Saturday's Action With Lower-Body Injury
Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere (lower body) was limited to five shifts and 4:06 of action in Saturday's matchup against the Los Angeles Kings. His night ended early due to a lower-body injury, leaving Carolina's blue line without another key player. Jaccob Slavin (lower body) sat out a third consecutive game on Saturday night. Early in the season, Gostisbehere has been highly productive and boasted seven points (one goal, six assists) in four games before Saturday's matchup. Carolina returns to action on Monday against the Vegas Golden Knights, and if Gostisbehere has to exit the lineup, Charles-Alexis Legault will probably get an opportunity to make his NHL debut.
