Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 5:
Jaxson Dart, QB, New York Giants
New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that he expects that rookie first-round quarterback Jaxson Dart (hamstring) will be able to practice on Wednesday, according to Patricia Traina of SI.com.
Dart apparently injured his hamstring in his first career win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4 on Sunday, but he finished out the game and should be alright to make his second career start in Week 5 in a great matchup against the winless New Orleans Saints. The 22-year-old went 13-for-20 passing for 111 yards and a touchdown against L.A., rushing 10 times for 54 yards and another touchdown.
Dart gave the G-Men a spark and helped them beat a strong defense, but the news of receiver Malik Nabers' (knee) season-ending injury puts a damper on the offense moving forward. Still, Dart has the potential to be a nice QB2 streamer with upside in the Big Easy in his second NFL start, given his dual-threat abilities.
Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa was held without a catch for the second straight game in Week 4 by the Cleveland Browns. TeSlaa burst onto the scene with a pair of highlight-reel grabs over his first two NFL games, but he remains limited to a minor role in the Detroit offense for the time being.
The 23-year-old played just 20% of the Lions' offensive snaps in Week 4 and is firmly behind Detroit wideouts Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Kalif Raymond on the team's depth chart at the position.
All told, TeSlaa has two catches for 42 yards and a touchdown on four targets so far this season. He maintains some appeal in dynasty leagues, but TeSlaa should be off the radar of fantasy managers in redraft formats.
RJ Harvey, RB, Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos running back RJ Harvey was more involved in his team's game plan this week, although some of that may have been since the game was decided early. He took a career-high 14 carries in Week 4 after totaling just 13 carries in his first three games and only getting two carries in Week 3.
He turned those carries into 58 rushing yards and added a career-high four catches as well for 40 more yards and his first NFL touchdown. It was an easy walk-in score on a 12-yard dropoff pass with just under five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. He played 41% of his team's snaps, getting almost a 50-50 split with J.K. Dobbins, who also remained effective.
In close games, Dobbins still may get more work, but Harvey's strong showing could earn him increased chances going forward. In Week 5, the Broncos have a tough road matchup with the Eagles.
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Carolina Panthers
After missing practice on Wednesday and logging two "limited" sessions on Thursday and Friday, Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (calf) played through a calf injury, hauling in just four of eight targets in Sunday's 42-13 loss to the New England Patriots.
He did, however, maximize his opportunities, averaging 15.5 yards per reception for a team-high 62 yards in the Panthers' Week 4 loss to the Patriots. Shadowed for much of the afternoon by Patriots All-Pro Christian Gonzalez, who returned from injury, the connection with Bryce Young was productive but inconsistent.
Despite the Panthers' struggles offensively in 2025, McMillan continues to play a pivotal role, leading the team in season-long receiving yards and targets. The Panthers' offense should have an easier time putting points on the board in Week 5 against a struggling Miami defense, which bodes well for McMillan's outlook.
