Brock Bowers Not Practicing on Thursday
Brock Bowers (knee) is not practicing on Thursday, according to Ryan McFadden of ESPN. Bowers took part in the walk-through portion of practice but didn't do any team drills and will go down as a DNP on the first injury report of Week 2 as the team begins preparing for the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night. Bowers downplayed his knee injury after getting hurt in the season-opening win over the New England Patriots last Sunday, and the Raiders are holding out hope that he can return to practice on Thursday or Friday. However, the second-year TE is firmly up in the air to play in Week 2 as things currently stand, and fantasy managers need to have a backup plan in place. Bowers is a must-start TE in fantasy when he's active, but Michael Mayer could be a sneaky streamer against the Bolts on Monday if Bowers cannot get cleared to play.
