Dillon Gabriel Turns in Mixed Performance Saturday
Dillon Gabriel completed 13 of his 18 passes for 143 yards and an interception in a 22-13 preseason win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. Gabriel also rushed twice for one yard and lost a fumble in the win. The rookie signal-caller got off to a fast start, completing eight of his nine pass attempts in the first quarter before cooling off in the second. Gabriel led a touchdown drive and two field-goal drives during his half of play, but his interception was ugly as he threw a 75-yard pick-six early in the second quarter. Gabriel, who missed last week's preseason opener with a hamstring injury, will look to continue to compete to open the regular season as the Browns' starting quarterback. The team's preseason finale comes against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.
