Junior Caminero Goes Yard Again in Sacramento
Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero crushed his 34th homer of the season on Wednesday night to help power the Rays to an 8-2 win that also gave them the series victory over the Athletics at Sutter Health Park. Caminero's two-run blast in the ninth came off reliever Elvis Alvarado and gives Caminero six homers in his last seven games with a .414 batting average and .621 wOBA in that short span. Since the All-Star break, the 22-year-old rookie is hitting .296 with a .409 wOBA and 11 homers in 25 games. He's quickly established himself as one of the best young sluggers in baseball, and Caminero looks lined up to be a top fantasy producer for years to come.
