Tyler Wells to Begin Rehab Assignment Wednesday
Tyler Wells (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Chesapeake on Wednesday. It'll be Wells' first time pitching in a game since April 2024, when he suffered an elbow injury that required UCL surgery. Barring setbacks, the Orioles expect the 30-year-old to return to the majors in late August. Wells made 95 appearances (46 starts) with the O's from 2021-24 and posted a 4.06 ERA with an impressive 1.05 WHIP, 8.28 K/9, and 2.35 BB/9 in 294 2/3 innings.
