Andrew Painter Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
In his most recent outing at Triple-A, the budding ace took a slight step back as he allowed eight hits and five runs across 5 1/3 innings of work. In this outing, he struck out three batters and allowed just one walk.
While the box score is not overly impressive, this was the first time Painter was able to pitch into the sixth inning this season, which is a great sign, given his extensive injury history.
If Painter can continue to increase his workload, he should remain on track to reach the big leagues later in July.
Andrew Painter made it to the 6th inning for the first time in Triple-A.
Walk, flyout, single, wild pitch, HR
Painter was removed after 5.1 IP. Only got one out in the 6th. Threw 96 pitches.
5.1 IP, 5 ER, 8 hits, 3 K, 1 BB, 3 HR -- ERA now at 4.97 in 11 Triple-A starts.

Andrew Painter Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
Through his first 50 2/3 innings at Triple-A, Painter has posted a modest 4.97 ERA with a 1.46 WHIP. However, he has continued to show solid strikeout upside, tallying 55 strikeouts while allowing only 20 walks.
He opened the campaign with Low-A Clearwater and allowed just five runs with a 12:1 K:BB across 11 2/3 innings.
With Aaron Nola (ankle) on the 60-day IL and not making much progress, Painter could earn a promotion shortly after the All-Star break. When he gets the call, he will be viewed as a strong No. 4/No.5 SP given his strikeout potential.
Not worried about Andrew Painter. He gave up 3 homers last night & his ERA is almost 5. Before this season, he pitched just five games above single A. He’s still getting his command back. He’s getting experience. Check back in August. I’ll bet he’s turned it around #Phillies
