The Cleveland Guardians are placing outfielder Lane Thomas (foot) on the 10-day injured list with right foot plantar fasciitis, per MLB.com's Tim Stebbins. Thomas exited Cleveland's game against the Detroit Tigers on Friday in the sixth inning, and this will be his second IL stint of the season as a result of his right foot injury. The veteran has struggled mightily in 142 plate appearances this season, slashing .160/.246/.272 with four home runs and four stolen bases. His 31% strikeout rate is his worst since 2020, and his 30.1% hard-hit rate is over 10% lower than his 40.6% mark in 2024. The nagging foot injury could be responsible for Thomas' fall-off at the plate, so he may need to regain full health before he gets back to being fantasy-relevant.--Will Brady
