The San Jose Sharks have picked up defenseman John Klingberg in free agency, signing him to a one-year, $4 million contract. Klingberg has battled health issues in recent years and skated in only 11 regular-season games with the Edmonton Oilers in 2024-25. He made 19 further appearances during the playoffs. In total, Klingberg managed two goals and eight points in Edmonton. The defenseman secured a good deal in San Jose, but his fantasy value will likely stay limited next season.--Taavi Pailk
