Manny Machado Crushes Homer No. 11
Manny Machado went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The fantasy stalwart also drove in a run on a sac fly. Machado has been on a tear over his last 13 games, batting a red-hot .370 (20-for-54) with two doubles, four long balls, 18 RBI, eight runs scored, and one steal. It's a strong start to the season for him, and the underlying metrics back it up. The 32-year-old's .316 xBA matches his actual batting average, and he's sporting his highest average exit velocity (92.6 MPH) and hard-hit rate (52.1%) marks since 2021. It isn't a stretch to think he could challenge his career-bests in runs scored (100) and RBI (107).
