Kyle Williams 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Should Become Patriots WR1 Quickly, Huge Fantasy Upside
Kyle Williams early in the 2025 NFL Draft. He'll join a team that was desperate for help at the WR position -- they were easily the worst in that area in 2024. Though the team did sign WR Stefon Diggs in the offseason, he's 31 years old, and he tore his ACL around midseason last year. While he's reportedly going to be ready for the start of the 2025 season, he won't be anywhere near his previous form. And he was... fine with the Texans. Williams, meanwhile, was one of the most underrated WRs in all of the 2025 draft cycle. His release package is excellent, yet most of the community is too low on him, simply because the offense he was in didn't ask him to run a lot of polished NFL receiver routes. His skills after the catch and with the ball in his hands are one culprit for that, yet they'll be a boon in the NFL as well. Williams should immediately be targeted heavily by quarterback Drake Maye, who played admirably in 2024 despite having zero offensive line and zero pass-catching talent on his team. Williams is a player I can see being an all-season starter, even in redraft leagues, and has a chance at finishing as a WR1 in fantasy football.
