Randy Arozarena Returns As DH On Tuesday
Randy Arozarena (hamstring) has returned to the starting lineup for Tuesday's contest in Sacramento against the division-rival Athletics and left-hander Jeffrey Springs, serving as the designated hitter while batting cleanup. Arozarena left Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers early with a tweaked hamstring, but he'll be back on Tuesday after missing the series opener on Monday against the A's. Miles Mastrobuoni is starting in left field and batting ninth for the M's. The 30-year-old Arozarena has hit just .224 (26-for-116) this year but has delivered five home runs, 18 RBI, 16 runs scored and eight stolen bases in his first 32 games. He has faced the lefty Springs four times in his career and has one hit. Arozarena has been better against lefties this year, going 10-for-38 with two of his three home runs against them.
