New Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said on Monday at his introductory press conference that he will be calling the offensive plays in 2025. The 51-year-old has been the Cowboys' offensive coordinator the last two years, so the announcement shouldn't come as a big surprise. However, it will be Schottenheimer's first head-coaching gig in the NFL. Former head coach Mike McCarthy also called the offensive plays in his final two years at the helm, and previous head coach Jason Garrett called the offensive plays for his first three seasons as head coach in Dallas from 2010-12. While the Cowboys are keeping continuity and familiarity with Schottenheimer, it should be noted that he hasn't called plays in the NFL since 2020 with the Seattle Seahawks. Expect the Dallas offense to feature a lot of play-action passes on offense under Schottenheimer in 2025.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
