Who Should I Start for Fantasy Football Week 17? George Pickens, Najee Harris, Pat Freiermuth

Najee Harris - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Who should I start for Week 17? Fantasy football outlooks for George Pickens, Najee Harris, Pat Freiermuth. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17, and many of their players have been popular fantasy football options this year. Wide receiver George Pickens (hamstring), running back Najee Harris, and Pat Freiermuth are among them.

All three have regularly found their way into starting lineups or at least been rostered, and with this week being such a pivotal game in most fantasy leagues, it's important to get a good idea of whether you should start them.

We'll break that down for you below, and help you make those winning start/sit lineup decisions for Week 17 and the fantasy football championships. Good luck!

Should I Start George Pickens for Fantasy Football?

Pickens was removed from the injury report entirely ahead of the team's Christmas Day game, meaning he'll be good to go. Since he's not carrying an injury designation any more, we should probably assume that he's fully healed, and there won't be any dip in his normal target volume.

He's worth starting as a low-end WR2 with WR1 upside. His quarterback, Russell Wilson, had a solid day against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16, and the two have shown a great connection over the season. It's fine to trust that in Week 17.

Should I Start Najee Harris for Fantasy Football?

Harris had a miserable day fantasy-wise in Week 17. The author of this article didn't recommend starting him, and he hardly saw any usage, carrying ball just nine times for 42 yards and failing to catch his only target. Instead, we saw backup back Jaylen Warren record 17 touches and 14.2 PPR fantasy points.

Many in the fantasy football community might think this is a permanent change, but it's likely that Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith wanted it to be this way. Harris had under 30% of offensive snaps, and Smith may have preferred Warren on the field for his superior pass-protection and as mind games for the defense.

Warren is more of the team's obvious passing-down back. That said, the Chiefs are a tough team to run against. It's hard to trust Harris in Week 17, and we wouldn't recommend starting him.

Should I Start Pat Freiermuth for Fantasy Football?

After three straight games of double-digit PPR fantasy points (i.e. three straight games with TDs), Freiermuth scored just 4.6 in Week 16 by catching three balls for 16 yards. That isn't league-winning production, and with Pickens returning, it becomes difficult to trust Patty here.

He fits on the long, long, long list of TEs that simply don't get the ball enough. He's a better option than guys on the waiver wire, though. Many teams won't have a choice here, but he's not an ideal start.
