Who Should I Start for Fantasy Football Week 16? DeVonta Smith, Malik Nabers, Jakobi Meyers

Jakobi Meyers - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Who should I start for Week 16? Fantasy football outlooks for DeVonta Smith, Malik Nabers, Jakobi Meyers. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.

Feeling nervous when making key decisions in fantasy football is okay. At the same time, that feeling makes fantasy football the best game on earth—a friendly reminder of why we love it so much. I am here to help you make informed decisions by discussing numbers and statistics for a few players and help you decide who belongs in your starting lineup.

This article will discuss DeVonta Smith, Malik Nabers, and Jakobi Meyers. Each wide receiver is dealing with unique situations that could affect their performance here in Week 16.

Let's dive in below and assess your options for this week's games, and best of luck in your playoff semifinals as well!

Should I Start DeVonta Smith for Fantasy Football?

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith went off last week. He accumulated 12 targets and caught 11 receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles made a strong effort to throw the football in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It makes sense, considering the Steelers have an elite run defense but are vulnerable to the passing game.

In Week 16, the Eagles will take on their division rival, the Washington Commanders. The Commanders are having a lovely season in 2024 behind rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. The spread suggests the game will be close (Eagles -3.5), so the Eagles should stay balanced in the running and passing attack.

The Eagles are certainly a run-first team; however, considering this week's matchup, fantasy managers can expect the Eagles to bring out all the stops to clinch an NFC East title. Making Smith a WR2 with upside in Week 16. RotoBaller ranks Smith as our WR27 in Week 16.

Should I Start Malik Nabers for Fantasy Football?

Yes, you should. The New York Giants wide receiver is one of the few bright spots on this Giants football team. Nabers has put up 90 receptions, 901 yards, and four touchdowns in 2024, with Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, and Drew Lock as his starting quarterbacks while missing two games with injuries on top of it.

Those numbers rank him as the 12th-best receiver so far this year. Could you imagine if and when he gets a top quarterback?

Nabers' talent and skill set provides him with a weekly fantasy floor that managers can trust. He also has a fantasy ceiling that could have him finish as a top 10 receiver in the season's final weeks. The Giants will start Lock in Week 16 against the Falcons, and regardless of who is throwing those passes, Nabers is a reliable WR2 with upside.

RotoBaller ranks Nabers as our WR19 in Week 16.

Should I Start Jakobi Meyers for Fantasy Football?

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers caught five of nine targets for 59 yards in the Raiders' 15-9 loss in Week 15. Although the stat line doesn't look too bad, it wasn't pretty if you watched the game. Quarterback Desmond Ridder struggled immensely getting the football to his wide receivers, and most of Meyers' yardage came in garbage time in the fourth quarter.

His outlook moving forward is promising. Meyers has built a good rapport with quarterback Aidan O'Connell. O'Connell has made it through back-to-back full practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday without a setback, which is great news ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. If O'Connell plays, you can fire up Meyers as a WR2 in Week 16.

Meyers has scored ten-plus fantasy points in six of his last eight games, as he is the clear go-to wide receiver since Devontae Adams got traded to the Jets. RotoBaller ranks Meyers as our WR28 in Week 16.
