Jordan Mason fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 8 (2024). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Jordan Mason for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in All Formats
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB1
ANALYSIS: Mason has been limited in practice this week, but really only to save him for the game as he's been nursing a sore shoulder since Week 6. He had one of his toughest matchups of the year in Week 7 against the Chiefs defensive font, but still handled 16 touches total.
With Christian McCaffrey's return still being a few weeks away, we should expect Mason to be the feature back for the Niners when they take on the Dallas Cowboys this week with Isaac Guerendo being used as the "change of pace" back to spell him.
If you’ve got Jordan Mason, he’s a Must-Start vs. a beat up Dallas defense.
- Dallas allows the 3rd-most fantasy points to opposing RBs, 2nd-most rushing TDs
- Jordan Mason is tied with Kyren Williams for most rushing attempts (31) inside the 20

The Niners have the best matchup for a running game in the league this week as the Cowboys have been one of the worst defenses at stopping the run. And with San Francisco's receiving corps now being depleted even further by Deebo Samuel Sr.'s illness and Brandon Aiyuk's season-ending injury, we should expect the Niners to feature Mason and the run game a lot in this game.
Fire up Mason with confidence in all formats. He has a few more weeks left as the top back for San Francisco, and this is as good of a spot as you will find for a back this season. There's a solid chance that runs all over the Cowboys in this one.
