Week 7 Tight End Outlooks For Fantasy Football

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs - Fantasy Football Outlook

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7. Kelce and the Chiefs should be fresh coming off their Week 6 bye. The Chiefs tight end put together a strong performance in the team's last contest against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5. Kelce caught nine passes for 70 yards against the Saints two weeks ago.

With wide receiver Rashee Rice likely out for the remainder of the regular season, Kelce should continue to see a high-volume workload. However, the Chiefs are facing the Niners, who know them well. These two teams matched up in the 2020 Super Bowl, and Kansas City walked away with the victory in that game.

The Niners know that Kelce is the biggest threat in the Kansas City passing attack, which means he could see some extra attention in this contest. The San Francisco defense is ranked 12th in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends this season, so this matchup will not be a walk in the park. Despite the tough matchup, Kelce is seeing elite opportunity as a tight end, and he should be started with confidence every week.

- Joshua Costello, RotoBaller

Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars - Fantasy Football Outlook

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram is a must-start in Week 7 against the New England Patriots in London. With no injury designation this week, Engram's hamstring injury seems to be behind him. The veteran tight end made a splash on his return with 10 catches for 102 yards on 10 targets.

Despite returning from injury, Engram was the top target for Trevor Lawrence on the day. While the plethora of receiver options may make it hard for that trend to continue, Engram easily profiles as a TE1 given this week's solid matchup with the Patriots.

The Bears have one of the best defenses in the league so far this season, so the Patriots should serve as an easier matchup for the Jaguars offense. Even if Lawrence spreads the ball around more than last week, Engram should put up mid to high-tier TE1 numbers in Week 7.

- Seth Quinn, RotoBaller

Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers - Fantasy Football Outlook

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (groin) came off the Packers' final injury report after turning in three limited practices and is good to go as Green Bay takes on the Houston Texans in Week 7. After two consecutive overall TE1 performances in Weeks 4-5, Kraft came back down to earth with just two receptions for 13 yards in the Packers' win over the Cardinals.

Kraft's down game had to do with the returning options back for the Packers, as Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson both came back to combine for three touchdowns. With so many weapons in tow for the Packers, Kraft's floor may be a bit lower than we'd like, but those two weeks where he was overall TE1 show the potential when he is targeted. Because of how shallow tight end is in fantasy, Kraft is a low-end TE1 against the Texans this week.

- Kevin Tompkins, RotoBaller
