Should I Drop Ezekiel Elliott in Fantasy Football?

In Week 3, Ezekiel Elliott saw a season-low three carries, finishing with six rushing yards. He also added one catch for six yards. He hadn't been producing this season, but those struggles reached a new level against the Ravens.

Meanwhile, Rico Dowdle had eight carries and three targets. He doesn't have a sizable lead over Elliott in terms of touches, but it's notable enough that we can officially declare Dowdle the top guy in Big D. Overall, Dowdle played 37 offensive snaps in Week 3 to Elliott's 15 snaps.

Fantasy managers who have held on to Elliott expecting him to rekindle some of his past magic have been sorely disappointed. At this point, you're safe to drop Elliott in most formats. You can hold him in a 14-team league, but anything shallower, he can be dropped.

Among your many options, Braelon Allen is a strong one after another good showing this week. Allen had 11 carries for 55 yards in the victory over the Patriots and three catches for 13 yards. Despite splitting time with Breece Hall, Allen has made a strong impact and should be a fantasy riser going forward.

Another player to target is the Buccaneers running back, Bucky Irving. While he hasn't had more than nine carries in a game, Irving has done well with those carries. That includes rushing for 70 yards and also adding three catches for 14 yards against Denver this week. He's a high-upside add off the waiver wire and should continue to see his role expand.
