Breece Hall - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for RB, WR, TE, QB (2024), as of 6/6, including Breece Hall, Bijan Robinson, Joe Burrow, Jahmyr Gibbs, Anthony Richardson, Nick Chubb, and more.

Fantasy football drafts take place earlier and earlier every year, so it's important to monitor key injuries throughout the offseason. Our offseason injury updates and reports as of Thursday, June 6, 2023, will give you the latest updates on key guys.

In the thick of mandatory minicamp, let's take a look at injured players Breece Hall, Bijan Robinson, Joe Burrow, Jahmyr Gibbs, Anthony Richardson, Nick Chubb, and more.

Breece Hall Injury Update

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said that running back Breece Hall (lower body) is "dealing with some lower-half stuff," but the team isn't concerned about it right now. Hall is set to work off to the side again on Tuesday. The 23-year-old was also working off to the side in a rehab group at organized team activities open to the media last week. It sounds like a minor injury, but it's something to keep an eye on as we approach the start of training camp at the end of July.

As long as Hall is back on the field then, fantasy managers looking to draft him as an RB1 this fall shouldn't have anything to worry about. The former second-rounder in 2022 out of Iowa State tore his ACL in his rookie year but bounced back last year to finish with 994 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 223 carries, adding 76 receptions for 591 yards and another four scores. If Hall can stay healthy in 2024, he should be a lock for his first 1,000-yard season.

Bijan Robinson Injury Update

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson (ankle) is taking part in organized team activities on Monday. It's great to see that Robinson has already recovered from a minor ankle injury that he suffered during OTAs in May. After being taken with the eighth overall pick in the first round in last year's draft out of Texas, Robinson carried the ball 214 times for 976 yards (4.6 yards per carry) and four touchdowns, adding 58 receptions on 86 targets for 487 yards and four touchdowns through the air in 17 games in his first year in the league.

Tyler Allgeier remains in Atlanta's backfield, but the 22-year-old Robinson is the clear lead back and should be able to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards in his sophomore campaign if he stays healthy in 2024, especially with veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins taking over an offense that should look to prioritize getting the ball in the hands of its best playmakers more often.

Joe Burrow Injury Update

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) did not participate in Tuesday's workouts, according to NFL.com. However, head coach Zac Taylor said part of his return plan from last year's season-ending injury includes one day off each week this offseason.

The organization is going to be extra cautious with the $275 million signal-caller, especially since he has missed at least six games in two of his first four NFL seasons. Assuming Burrow can stay healthy in 2024, he has mid-range QB1 upside in fantasy football. Tee Higgins is likely to remain on the roster for at least this season, and Ja'Marr Chase could be entering his prime heading into his age-24 season. (MLB.com)

Jahmyr Gibbs Injury Update

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs (undisclosed) was held out of practice on Wednesday as he deals with a soft-tissue injury, according to head coach Dan Campbell. It's something to watch, but this early in the offseason, it shouldn't be too much of a concern for Gibbs or the Lions. If it's still something that is bothering the second-year back in training camp this summer, then fantasy managers might want to be concerned.

After being selected with the 12th overall pick last year out of Alabama, Gibbs ran for 945 yards and 10 touchdowns on 182 attempts while adding 52 receptions for 316 yards and a score in 15 regular-season games. David Montgomery will remain an obstacle to the 22-year-old reaching his true ceiling, but Gibbs still has RB1 upside, especially in PPR leagues with the potential to see more work as a pass-catcher in 2024. (NFL.com)

Anthony Richardson Injury Update

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder) was seen with trainers on Wednesday during OTAs. Colts writer James Boyd of the Athletic said that trainers were looking at Richardson's shoulder throughout the day, but nobody seemed worried. As a result, Joe Flacco took the majority of first-team reps this afternoon. This should be seen as precautionary, as the former Florida Gator expressed last week on the Pat McAfee show that his shoulder was at "95 percent" as he has been recovering from a season-ending shoulder surgery he underwent last October.

The 22-year-old will be a popular breakout pick in drafts later this summer, as he flashed elite upside in four games last season with 577 yards through the air and 136 yards on the ground with seven total scores. Richardson also has elite playmakers around him in Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman, and second-round pick Adonai Mitchell which further boost his fantasy stock.

Nick Chubb Injury Update

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (knee) is doing well in his rehab from a gruesome season-ending left knee injury that he suffered on Sept. 18 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he's uncertain when he might be back. "I like where I'm at," Chubb said. "I'm where I need to be. I would say that. The biggest thing for me is just getting better every day." Chubb needed two surgeries on his right knee after he sustained tears to his ACL, MCL, the medial capsule, and meniscus.

He's been running since April but is unclear on an exact return date to football activities, which is going to make him a volatile fantasy option in 2024. Chubb tore three ligaments in the same knee back in college in 2015, but his ACL remained intact. As things stand now, Chubb is in danger of missing the start of the 2024 regular season and will probably be eased back into a regular workload. (BeaconJournal.com)

Chris Olave Injury Update

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave (shoulder) is wearing a non-contact jersey at summer practices due to a shoulder injury he suffered in the weight room a few weeks ago. However, head coach Dennis Allen said the former first-round pick has been going through full practices anyway, so this minor ailment shouldn't cause much concern. The 23-year-old has been fantastic through his first two NFL seasons, securing 159 of his 257 targets for 2,165 yards and nine touchdowns in 31 games.

While Derek Carr isn't viewed as a high-level quarterback, he's been good enough to support fantasy WR1s throughout his career. New Orleans failed to add significant target competition this offseason, meaning Olave remains a WR1 candidate in his third NFL campaign. (NFL.com)

Xavier Legette Injury Update

Carolina Panthers rookie first-round wide receiver Xavier Legette (hamstring) is still dealing with a hamstring issue that popped up last week as the voluntary organized team activities continue this week. The 23-year-old pass-catcher is dealing with a little tightness in his hamstring. The issue doesn't appear to be very serious, but the Panthers are taking it easy on their first draft pick from this year. Even though Legette's injury isn't serious, he's missing more valuable reps at OTAs as he learns a new offense and tries to gain chemistry with second-year quarterback Bryce Young.

As long as Legette is ready to go for the start of training camp at the end of July, it shouldn't affect his fantasy draft stock much in 2024. The 32nd overall pick in April out of South Carolina will have an uphill battle for weekly fantasy relevance in his rookie campaign with both Diontae Johnson and Adam Thielen stealing precious targets from him in an offense that looked terrible in 2023.

Malachi Corley Injury Update

New York Jets rookie third-round wide receiver Malachi Corley (lower body) was a full participant at practice at organized team activities on Tuesday after leaving practice early last week with an undisclosed lower-body injury. Corley made an impressive contested catch in team drills on a pass from veteran backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

The 22-year-old's injury from last week obviously wasn't too serious, and Corley is now back in the fold at OTAs gaining valuable repetitions as he learns the Jets offense heading into his first NFL season. If Mike Williams (knee), who is coming off a torn ACL, is healthy, Corley will be the No. 3 option, at best, in New York's offense this year. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has taken a liking to Corley, though, which is a good first step for the youngster. (TheAthletic)

Miles Sanders Injury Update

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders (heel) did not practice on Tuesday due to a heel injury. The 27-year-old had a flare-up and is being held out as a precaution, according to head coach Dave Canales. While he's expected to be fine, missing practice time is not ideal after the team selected Jonathon Brooks (knee) in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Sanders is coming off his worst season as a pro. He accounted for just 432 rushing yards and one touchdown while averaging an abysmal 3.3 yards per carry.

Chuba Hubbard outperformed him last year, and Brooks is likely to be heavily involved in the Carolina rushing attack when he's fully healthy. It would be a surprise if Sanders becomes anything close to a weekly contributor to fantasy squads this season.
