The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Sam Poulin from the American Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Tuesday. The 23-year-old was the team's first-round pick in the 2019 draft but has appeared in just three games with the Penguins to this point. "Honestly, I'm just so excited to be here," Poulin said. "It feels so good. I've come a long way to get here. It's just nice to know that my efforts were actually not for nothing." Poulin had taken a leave of absence for personal reasons on Dec. 7, 2022 before returning to action with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Apr. 7, 2023. He has recorded 13 goals and 27 points across 36 games in the AHL this season and has tallied one assists in three career NHL contests.--Brenton KempRead More News
