Washington Capitals forward Max Pacioretty (Achilles) has been taken off IR and is expected to make his season debut on Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils. Pacioretty hasn't played since January 19 of last year and has only played five games since April of 2022. He has finally finished his grueling recovery from a second Achilles injury and is ready to go, but the extent to which the Capitals will use him out of the gate is unknown. Eventually, he should settle into a top-six role with time on the first powerplay unit, provided he can stay healthy. That said, he should be owned in most fantasy leagues as he can put up decent point and shot totals.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
