Although Ryan Preece has been slower in the NASCAR Cup Series, his modified experience definitely prepared him for NASCAR's short tracks. Preece ranks 6th in short track speed among Cup Series regulars and is the fastest Ford driver, which you could definitely see while watching the races. Preece's only top five came at the summer Richmond race, and in this year's spring Martinsville race, Preece won the pole and led the most laps before a speeding penalty took him out of contention. Preece also qualified ninth for Sunday's race, higher than all but two other Ford drivers and also won Thursday night's modified race, which may help him to develop a strong setup for Sunday's race. Although he is usually mediocre, expect a strong run tomorrow.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerRead More News
