Chris Buescher became the first Roush driver to advance to the Round of 8 since Carl Edwards in 2014, but his good fortune will likely end this round. Despite his win at Michigan, Buescher has significantly lacked speed on intermediate tracks compared to the other drivers in the Round of 8. The Fords lag in speed relative to the Chevies and Toyotas and Buescher himself ranks only 13th in intermediate speed, behind every playoff contender and Brad Keselowski, He already ranks last in the Round of 8 and will likely lose points to all the Toyota drivers on the cut line, especially after only qualifying 17th. Like Ryan Blaney, Buescher will almost certainly need a win at Martinsville to advance to the championship round.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerRead More News
