Despite missing the playoffs, Elliott has had an uptick in performance with seven top tens in the last nine races. What he lacks is race-winning speed. Additionally, he never won at this track before and has to start in the back after a practice crash. However, given his recent consistency, his dominant stint in last week's Charlotte roval event, and Hendrick's dominant speed here, he is a strong sleeper pick for this event.
