DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (9/3/23)

Jayden Daniels - Fantasy Football Rankings, College FB, QB, NFL Draft Sleepers

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Sunday (9/3/23). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

Behold! Our only Sunday slate of college football this year. The NFL is letting us have this day, so I'm going to take it! We have three games as the dessert for our huge three-course meal of college football yesterday. The weekend is winding down, but I'm ready to get some more!

We start out in Piscataway with Rutgers hosting 0-for-North-America Northwestern. The afternoon takes us to the Bay Area for Oregon State and San Jose State. The nightcap is the game that everyone is waiting for: LSU and Florida State from Orlando. Be careful out there, guys. DraftKings still has Jam Griffin in the player pool for Oregon State even though he's been at Ole Miss for almost a month now.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/3/23, locking at noon Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Jordan Travis, Florida State ($8,400)

Travis comes at a bit of a discount from Jayden Daniels. I'm siding with Travis because he is more integral to the success of the Seminoles than Daniels is for LSU. That's not a knock on Daniels. That's a testament to how much talent LSU has around him. Travis had at least 20 DraftKings points in the last 10 games of 2022. He is the least volatile option on the slate.

Gavin Wimsatt, Rutgers ($6,700)

Rutgers still believes in Wimsatt despite his ball security issues. I tend to think that he's on a pretty short leash since the competition with Evan Simon ran most of the summer. That said, Wimsatt can change a game. He's a really good runner and the arm strength is there. If the accuracy catches up, he could have a nice season. I think we get to see some of what the fuss is about against Northwestern. At the very least, his rushing yards will offset the turnovers.

Also consider: Jayden Daniels, LSU ($9,000); Ben Bryant, Northwestern ($5,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Damien Martinez, Oregon State ($5,700)

Martinez might be the best back in the Pac. It feels silly that he's priced this low. Martinez had six consecutive 100-yard games before the Las Vegas Bowl in which he was injured in the first quarter. Martinez is healthy to begin 2023 and the revamped passing game should only help make room for him. USC ran on San Jose State last week. Expect Oregon State to do the same, except mostly with one back.

Kairee Robinson, San Jose State ($5,300)

The Spartans still found ways to keep Robinson involved in the offense even though USC was tough on him. They will try to do the same against Oregon State. The Beavers might bottle up Robinson, but he should still pick up a few receptions with a chance for big plays. The point for a reception certainly helps as well. Quali Conley might continue to steal carries, but his chances of topping 100 yards again are pretty slim.

Also consider: Noah Cain, LSU ($5,900); Cam Porter, Northwestern ($4,800)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Malik Nabers, LSU ($7,300)

I saved on backs so I could spend on receivers. There are some good ones on this slate. Nabers was a huge part of the LSU offense down the stretch last year and most certainly will continue to be this season. Nabers racked up 489 yards on 28 receptions for a pair of touchdowns in the last four games (UAB, A&M, Georgia, Purdue). Aside from UAB, that's some pretty good competition. I'm expecting another big game against Florida State here.

Keon Coleman, Florida State ($6,000)

My general thinking here is that Johnny Wilson's huge bowl game is going to draw a lot of attention to him, which would in theory leave Coleman in single coverage. He is good enough to beat single coverage on most snaps, even LSU single coverage. Coleman had a strong season (58 receptions, 798 yards, seven touchdowns) for Michigan State with an average quarterback. I'm interested to see what he can do with a good one.

Nick Nash, San Jose State ($5,400)

The former quarterback hauled in three touchdowns against USC in the opener. Expect him to be heavily targeted against Oregon State as well. Justin Lockhart should be out again, but it's college. Who knows? If Lockhart plays, I like this a little less. However, it's hard to ignore how good Nash was in the opener.

Also consider: Johnny Wilson, Florida State ($6,500); Slade Bolden, Oregon State ($5,900); Naseim Brantley, Rutgers ($4,500)

DraftKings CFB Stacks:

San Jose State

I don't expect a blowout here. I expect San Jose State to play a decent game. This stack is mostly based on price, not just points. Chevan Cordeiro, Robinson, Conley, and Nash will only set you back about $22,600. That leaves plenty left over for receivers from the FSU/LSU game.

LSU/Florida State

I'm not fully stacking either side of this. I'm more interested in LSU's backs and Nabers on that side and FSU receivers and Travis if I can afford him on the other.

Also consider: Rutgers
