Gameweek 4 Rankings - Fantasy Premier League Predictions, Tips, and Picks for 2023/24

FPL Gameweek 4 rankings, predictions, tips, and picks for Fantasy Premier League lineups. RotoBaller's EPL fantasy football Gameweek 4 rankings for the 2023/24 FPL season.

Welcome to Gameweek 4 of the FPL season, RotoBallers! This is the third year covering FPL on the site, and we are bringing you more coverage than ever before. We will publish the Gameweek Preview, consisting of a Staff Roundtable and our rankings every week. Then, once a month, we will publish our newest article, The Watchlist, a review of the previous month and a look ahead to the upcoming fixtures.

Three gameweeks down, 35 more to go. Gameweek 4 brings arguably the season's biggest game so far, as Manchester United travel to Arsenal on Sunday afternoon. Both sides have had up-and-down starts to the campaign and will want a big win over each other in a historic rivalry. Elsewhere, Sheffield United and Everton battle in an early relegation duel while Brighton and Newcastle wage war on the seaside.

The Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 4 deadline is 1:30 PM EST on Friday, September 1, for the Luton Town-West Ham game. Also, look out for the rest of our excellent soccer coverage as the squad gets you all set for every English Premier League, Major League Soccer, and UEFA Champions League slate from a DFS and betting perspective.

Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 4 Rankings

Our weekly rankings highlight players who could be worth a punt in your Fantasy Premier League squad. While the rankings will be filled with familiar names, a low-owned player with an easy fixture will rise up the one-week charts. For each gameweek, we will provide our top 15 goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. These can also be applied as DFS rankings for your weekend contests.

Gameweek 3 Fantasy Premier League High Scorers

  • Goalkeeper: Jose Sa, Wolves - 11 points
  • Defender: Matty Cash, Aston Villa - 17 points
  • Midfielder: Raheem Sterling, Chelsea - 19 points
  • Forward: Darwin Nunez, Liverpool - 11 points

FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 4 Rankings

  • Bernd Leno and Onana are interesting cases this week as they both have clean sheet odds below 15 percent, so the model predicts them to make a lot of saves in their fixtures. Leno travels to a Man City squad looking to maintain their perfect start to the season. Meanwhile, Onana has a tough clash in London as Man United visits Arsenal in an early contender or pretender battle.
  • Ederson comes in with 4.0 predicted points primarily because he will keep a clean sheet and score six points or let in a goal and come away with two points. The City keeper does not get save points during his games, and turns him into an expendable fantasy asset. We only get three City slots in our squad, and Ederson would not be one of them if I were using a Wildcard this weekend or next.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 4 Rankings

  • Last weekend, Destiny Udogie was a hero with his 12 points against Bournemouth. Now, he faces the newly-promoted Burnley. A 28 percent clean sheet odds provide a solid floor for the Spurs defender, but his attacking prowess has Fantasy Premier League managers enamored.
  • The model seems very optimistic about Trent Alexander Arnold's chances of an attacking return this weekend because I don't see the Reds keeping a clean sheet versus Aston Villa. With Virgil Van Dijk (suspension) out, TAA will wear the captain's armband at Anfield for the first time. Hopefully, that will see him provide his first attacking return of the season and begin to justify his £8.0M price tag.

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 4 Rankings

  • Raheem Sterling took advantage of a tasty matchup against Luton Town last Friday night and came away with 19 points. He gets another good shot at FPL points with a game against Nottingham Forest. Forest hasn't been as leaky as we would've thought this season. However, Sterling came out this week and said he wants to be the top goal scorer at Stamford Bridge, and that's precisely what we want to hear as FPL managers.
  • Phil Foden (illness) was limited last weekend against Sheffield United but still tagged on an assist in his brief cameo. It sounds like he's recovered from it for this Saturday's clash with Fulham, and a double-digit return is on the cards. Against Newcastle, Foden set up Erling Haaland on countless occasions, but the Norwegian didn't have his shooting boots that day. If that combination can link up again this weekend, the FPL points will flow.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 4 Rankings

  • Alexander Isak was kept off the score sheet against Liverpool in Gameweek 3, but Brighton will present a much more free-flowing opponent. West Ham exposed the Seagulls several times, and Newcastle will be licking their lips at the attacking prospects. There is a chance Callum Wilson will find his way back into the starting XI, but if Isak can maintain his leading-the-line role, a goal or two will be in the cards.
  • Gabriel Jesus returned to the Arsenal squad last weekend and could be in line for a start against Manchester United. The Red Devils' defense is currently decimated with injuries and liable to concede. Nottingham Forest pounced for two goals in four minutes last weekend, and Arsenal's relentless attacking should result in many opportunities for Arsenal's attackers.
